First of all, we rarely get snow, so we get very excited when it happens. Our girls only remember one other snowfall in their lifetimes, and they are six and almost five years old. There are few things more pure and lovely than a freshly fallen snow – but close in the running would be the looks on our little llamas’ faces when they discovered the outdoors this morning.
Secondly, who cannot smile at the artistry of this snowman? Our girls were so proud of their work (with a lot of help from Daddy). And I knew that chocolate-inspired trip to the grocery store my family made yesterday (see previous post) would come in handy. Check out the killer Oreo eyes on Frosty.

Last, but certainly not least, would be the beauty of our mini-Snow Whites. With their dark hair, ivory skin (God love them, they’ll never tan, just like their mother) and red lips, they could have stepped out of a Disney film. Okay, I’ll concede that our older daughter looks a bit like Henry Fonda in On Golden Pond in that hat, but without it, both girls could easily pass for Snow White. In fact, if I hired seven short men to follow them around, they might very well get stopped for autographs. But that would be weird. Especially for the seven short men.
